United Congregations of Metro East

UCM hosts training sessions to develop leaders within communities to bring awareness to and dismantle issues within that community. Being a part of Gamaliel National Network, members, leaders, and staff of UCM attend national trainings with an agitative basis to correctly and effectively seek wins for local and national issues. Just this past year we've worked alongside other organizations to see the Pretrial Fairness Act and the Climate & Equitable Jobs Act signed into law in the state of Illinois. We celebrate these wins, but the work continues as we seek proper implementation.
