U City Summer Band

The University City Summer Band enriches warm summer evenings and connects audience members to the important tradition of outdoor music in St. Louis. Concerts feature guest soloists from the St. Louis Symphony, local professional musicians, conductors, and composers, and a variety of musical selections that appeal to audiences of all ages.

The University City Summer Band will fill Heman Park with the sounds of music from around the world during June and July 2019. Featuring soloists, conductors, composers, and musical traditions from across the globe, this year's concert season will represent University City's motto: Neighborhood to the World. Concerts last an hour and twenty minutes and will be presented by the 104-piece, all volunteer band free of charge. This high quality, family-friendly concert series is ideal for first time listeners, young children, and community members of all ages.
