Thomas Dunn Learning Center (TDLC) is a community education center located in Marquette Park in the Dutchtown neighborhood. We are a private nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization, serving the St. Louis region since 1930 through formal and social learning opportunities.

Each of the photos in our media gallery below tells of a recent story adding to the lifelong learning that happens daily, 7 days a week, at Thomas Dunn Learning Center. Every donation we receive adds directly to our region's economic, environmental, and social/human sustainability goals.

Besides our walk-in services to use our library, computer lab, civics kiosk, food pantry, and other occasional services and resources, these are the goals of our four primary programs:

1. Adult Education: Provide the best possible adult tutoring program in the region. Teach skills that increase economic sustainability by providing tutoring to earn a high school equivalency certification, job readiness training, paths to careers or higher education, computer skills, or financial literacy.

2. Youth Enrichment: Offering engaging and enriching programs to our youth that are imperative for the viability and sustainability of our region. From drop-in spaces to leadership programs, young adults will define who they are and carry with them what they learn, as they establish themselves in the future.

3. Arts & Culture: Supporting local artists, cultural traditions, creative expression, and public engagement through exhibitions, performances, workshops, and community arts programming that are accessible to all and contribute to neighborhood equity and community social sustainability.

4. Civics and Community: Help strengthen neighborhoods by fostering civic participation, dialogue, and collaboration. Host community events, neighborhood meetings, and through collaborative partnership, provide a diverse schedule of classes and workshops weekly.

We are YOUR Community Education Center. Please, take a class, tutor a student, and especially support us financially so we can continue the important classes, workshops, events, and services we provide. Thank you.
