St. Patrick Center

A nonprofit organization

St. Patrick Center transforms lives and works to create a community where everyone has access to sustainable housing, employment, and healthcare. As a ministry of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, we bring the healing, help, and hope of Jesus Christ to those in need with a compassionate, caring presence.

St. Patrick Center reaches and helps individuals who are unhoused at any stage of need, including those who are on the verge of or currently experiencing homelessness. In every case, our agency approaches homelessness using Housing First methodology. With this methodology, we work to place clients in homes before we work on influencing circumstances, including struggles with achieving sobriety, lack of steady employment, and behavioral health challenges. Housing First is an evidence-based practice that solves homelessness through a combination of permanent housing and wrap-around support services, grace, patience, and empathy. It challenges traditional approaches to addressing homelessness — including some that St. Patrick Center may have utilized in the past! Individuals facing homelessness are our neighbors. They deserve respect, care, and concern. Not only does Housing First work, it also regards our clients with the honor, dignity, and encouragement that helps them live better lives.

Your support of Give STL Day helps transform the lives of more than 4,400 clients served by St. Patrick Center annually.
