Lauren's Fundraiser for St. Louis Oasis

I’ve had the chance to work at Oasis for the past 3.5 years, and it’s become such a meaningful part of my life.

What I love most about Oasis is the community we build—with and for our participants. It’s a place where people show up as they are, try new things, make connections, and genuinely feel like they belong. That sense of community is something really special, and it’s at the heart of everything we do.

I'm also passionate about the preventative work we offer. Through classes, programs, and resources, Oasis helps older adults stay mentally and physically well, supporting independence and quality of life in a proactive way.

Lastly, as a former educator, our tutoring program is especially close to my heart. It’s powerful to see the three-fold impact: students receive extra support and grow academically, volunteers find purpose and connection, and it's a low lift for teachers and admin. It’s one of those rare programs where everyone involved is changed for the better.
