Jim Maher and his wife Jenny, SLSG is more than a club—it’s part of their family’s story. For the past two decades, they have been involved as parents, volunteers, and supporters. Their sons—JD, Jack, Joey, and Josh—grew up in this program, shaped by its culture of discipline, teamwork, and excellence.

That foundation carried far beyond youth soccer. Jack went on to Indiana University and now competes in the MLS with Nashville SC. Joey forged his path through Indiana and Saint Louis University, and Josh continues the tradition at Indiana. More important than the accolades are the lessons, relationships, and confidence built along the way—experiences the Maher family believes every child should have access to.
