My Birthday Wish 🎂: People-Powered Policy Change

For my 30th birthday I am seeking support for Empower Missouri, our state’s oldest and largest anti-poverty advocacy organization, and one of the first of it’s kind in the nation. Founded in 1901 by 41 Missourians, Empower Missouri has spent 125 years helping Missourians take action on issues that affect their communities, from local neighborhoods all the way to the state Capitol.

Gifts made to Empower Missouri will help continue that work this year through town halls, film screenings, trainings, coalition meetings, and more, so Missouri voices are informed, organized, and ready to speak up during the 2027 legislative session.

My goal is $850, and any amount helps. We can, and should, dream big dreams for the future of our state — a future where every Missourian has easy access to the food, housing and healthcare that they need to thrive.
