This Give STL Day, please consider donating to Cornerstone to help families access early education. Cornerstone is a staple in my neighborhood. It’s a non-profit early childhood education center that has been making a sustained, positive impact on our community for decades.
Cornerstone prioritizes economically vulnerable children and their families, providing award-winning early childhood education programs on a sliding-scale cost structure. More than half of Cornerstone children come from households eligible to receive childcare assistance, paying $25 or less per week. While children safely attend Cornerstone, their families are able to focus on employment and higher education opportunities, enabling them to improve their standard of living.
In addition to quality education and care, Cornerstone provides all of their families with:
-Two meals and a snack for every child each day
-Included childcare essentials such as diapers, wipes, infant formula, and baby food
-Health screenings including medical, dental, vision, hearing, and developmental
-Free on-site therapy to assist with speech, physical, occupational, and social-emotional development
-A Nature Explore Certified Outdoor Classroom featuring playscapes; greenhouses; digging, climbing, dramatic play, and building areas; water, music, and art stations; a bicycle path, mud kitchen, story walk, and more
-An experienced team of staff and faculty, 30% of whom have been with Cornerstone for more than a decade
I’m proud to support Cornerstone this Give STL day. I hope you’ll consider joining me.
