Kitten season is in full swing and that means vulnerable, delicate kittens who need extra care. We've had several kittens over the last two weeks who have stopped eating, had crippling diarrhea, or terrible upper respiratory infections. Tiny kittens can go from playing with their siblings to lethargic almost in the blink of an eye. While some respond to supportive care, others need veterinary care. Keefe started losing weight and then quickly stopped eating. At only 1 pound, any weight loss was an emergency. Gargamel arrived from a shelter and less than 48 hours later he was so congested he couldn't catch his breath and wasn't eating. He refused to nurse, but wouldn't join his siblings at the food bowl. Time was off the essence to give Gargamel the support he needed to let his body fight.

Without your support for kittens like Gargamel and Keefe, it makes it impossible for us to continue to take in young kittens. Any help is very much appreciated!
