Furnishing Francie's Place

Exciting news from GHF!  Construction of our long-planned Francie’s Place Apartments is well underway and slated for completion by this August!

 Francie’s Place will include the comprehensive renovation of our existing properties in the Shaw and Grove neighborhoods, both which will offer 2-bedroom units for families.

 Francie’s Place will also bring on-line 15 new studio style permanent supported housing units at 3600 S Jefferson.  

 Francie’s Place will be beautiful while also designed with the needs of our tenants in mind.  At the Jefferson site, this means units are small and simple to manage for those whose disabilities impact their daily living skills in ways that have caused them to lose housing in the past.  

 Our new tenants will invariably move in with little more than they can carry.

 We need to raise money to furnish the 15 units at our Jefferson site, so our tenants have what they need to feel comfortable and settled; so they can focus on learning their new home and community; so they can focus on healing.

 We have an ambitious goal of raising $66,000 by June 30th allowing us to fully furnish all 15 studio units at Francie’s Place.   

All furnishings will be sourced by Butler Human Services because their products are extremely durable yet comfortable and attractive and will fit perfectly in our  small apartments, so functionality is maximized.  We have Butler furnishing in other GHF units that have been in use for more than 10 years!
