A Garden Where Senior Adults Bloom

Crown's Garden Society allows low-income senior adults to reap the benefits of gardening. Research shows that gardening provides opportunities for older adults to increase their social interactions, and to find purpose and meaning through nature and caring for living objects, and keeps people physically active and engaged. These factors are protective against the likelihood of depression, decline, and frailty.  Funding will allow us to enhance the Garden Society and increase the likelihood that participants can age independently and with dignity.
