Our family has been homeschooling since 2020. What began during Ella’s kindergarten year gradually became something much deeper for us — a way to build the closeness, connection, and family life we had hoped for. After finishing part of kindergarten at home, we made the decision to continue homeschooling, and Charley has never attended traditional school.
We joined SHARE Homelink Co-Op in the fall of 2021, and it has been such an important part of our homeschooling journey ever since. This is now our fifth year at SHARE, and each year we have watched both of our kids grow in knowledge, confidence, and friendship. Ella and Charley feel safe, comfortable, and deeply loved there. SHARE is more than a co-op to us — it feels like a family of parents, teachers, and administrators who genuinely support our children and our whole family.
Some of the kids’ favorite classes have been cooking, language arts, and Townbuilders. They look forward to co-op days, and many evenings they tell us how grateful they were for their day at SHARE. As a parent, there is not much more I could ask for than a place where my children are learning, thriving, and excited to be there.
Homeschooling has also given our family the freedom to stay connected in daily life and to travel together, which is deeply important to us. We believe our children learn in so many ways — through relationships, experiences, and the world around them — and SHARE has helped make that lifestyle feel supported and sustainable.
Next school year, SHARE is facing an important transition. Homelink Co-Op will be moving from its current location, and the leadership team has been working hard to secure a new home. That move will come with increased costs. We are raising money to help offset those expenses so SHARE can continue to remain affordable and accessible for the families who rely on it.
We would be so grateful for your support.
