Lauri's Campaign

I have worked in early childhood for 30+ years in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. I have come to fully understand the foundation for learning is built during a child's first 2,000 days. This timeframe is essentially birth to starting kindergarten for a child. It is essential that all children have healthy, supportive, loving relationships with adults in their lives. This builds resiliency, a strong sense of self and confidence. If a child is confident and resilient, they can be curious and explore their world, learning to navigate it and problem-solve. This happens when children play and learn in quality early childhood programs.

My passion is creating training to support and build quality in early childhood programs. For nearly seven years, I have managed our social and emotional health and wellness and business training projects. I have seen early educators' lives changed. Some have found a renewed passion for the industry and business. Others have a fresh approach to helping children to become happy, confident learners. All goes to build and sustain quality child care in Missouri.
