Summer 2025!

Support from our community directly impacts our ability to provide life-changing programs to St. Louis youth. Spring is here and our staff are hard at work preparing for the 2025 season. Our campers are excited to return to their “home away from home” at camp and we as an organization are thrilled to embark on another incredible summer together. Not only that, but they will also benefit from continued programming after camp focused on nurturing the connections made there and providing crucial support all year round.   

At Sherwood Forest, we envision a community where all youth discover and achieve their fullest potential, no matter their life circumstances. By using research-based methods, innovative practices, and the unique opportunities offered by the natural environment, we are able to give children from low-income families the foundation needed to break the cycle of multi-generational poverty. By helping them to achieve critical developmental milestones, such as Teamwork, Independence, Responsibility, Problem Solving, Interest in Exploration, and Self Confidence, our kids are far more likely to become happy, healthy, and resilient adults. In fact, 100% of those who complete our Leadership Training Program go on to graduate from high school and many go on to pur-sue post-secondary education. By balancing traditional camp adventures with evidence-based programs that reinforce and support school-year learning, Sherwood Forest connects with, educates, and inspires the youth of St. Louis.
