Gym Enhancements

Our gym has been the setting for countless celebrations—from Senior Ring Mass at the beginning of the year to graduation in the spring, and from welcoming home state championship teams to celebrating remarkable individual achievements. This year alone we celebrated Karmon Grohmann joining the 1,000-point club, Olivia Biffar breaking the single-season three-point record, and our volleyball team bringing home another Regional Championship. 

We are excited to announce upcoming upgrades to our gymnasium. After nearly 40 years of use, it is time to begin the next chapter with three important enhancements: air conditioning, bleacher handrails, and new lobby flooring.

Our gym is home to the original wooden bleachers that give Gibault its unique character and welcoming feel. When they were installed, handrails were not part of the design, so this project will add bleacher railings to improve safety and accessibility while preserving the tradition of the space. Installing air conditioning is another meaningful step forward, providing year-round comfort and enhancing the experience for athletic events, school celebrations, and community gatherings. In addition, new lobby flooring will help create a refreshed and welcoming entrance for the many students, families, and visitors who walk through our doors.

Our goal is to raise $300,000 to complete these important upgrades, including new HVAC units, electrical upgrades, outdoor concrete pads, lobby flooring, and bleacher railings.
