St. John's Community Care

A nonprofit organization

St. John's Adult Day Program, which became a full-time service in October 2001, provides a safe and stimulating environment for older and disabled adults, many of whom have dementia, giving their family and caregivers time for their own needs and employment. Participants and their families can access this program on weekdays between 6:30 am and 6:00 p.m. at whatever times meet their needs. A nutritious lunch and snacks are served, and the day is filled with various activities. Adult Day Program staff includes a Director, nurses, and Program Assistants.

St. John's facilitates early memory loss support groups, Alzheimer's support groups, caregiver support groups, and a Caregiver Support Program, which serves caregivers of all types in the metro-east area.

Our Free Medical Equipment Loan Closet loans a wide variety of equipment for use by anyone in the community without charge. Much of the equipment has been donated; some was purchased with donations from people like you. Thousands of people have benefitted from the Free Medical Equipment Program over the years.

Mission

The mission of St. John's Community Care is to make a positive difference in the lives of people challenged by aging or disabilities.

We accomplish this by providing dependable and compassionate support through direct care, advocacy, education, and outreach to individuals living in the Metro-East community.
