Pet's Second Chance, Inc. is an independent and compassionate rescue organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of the Welsh Corgi breed and Corgi mixes. We provide medical care and behavioral development prior to adoptions into suitable homes. When Corgis are too senior or too ill for adoption, the organization provides a permanent foster home program to meet their ongoing medical and social needs. We also offer public education in regard to the benefits of proper nutrition, positive training programs, spay/neuter options, and the joys and challenges of adopting rescued dogs.

PSC accepts Corgis from Missouri, Northern Arkansas, and Southern Illinois. Our dogs range in age from puppies to seniors. We rescue Corgis abandoned by their owners due to divorce, relocation, financial difficulties, the birth of a child, and any number of reasons for which a family may no longer be able to keep their Corgi as well as rescuing from shelters. We accept all Corgis regardless of their age or physical condition, and many Corgis who come to us suffer from the following medical issues: heartworms, dental carries, internal parasites, urinary tract infections, fleas and ticks, and even lice. Some have broken bones or cancer. Majority of our funds raised go toward medical care for our rescues. Nearly all our rescues suffer from broken hearts and broken spirits.

We do not have a shelter affiliated with our rescue. Our Corgis receive proper medical care and rehabilitation in loving foster homes, often with other Corgis or Corgi mixes. We work hard to find the best possible home for our rescues and for that reason adoption requires an application, an interview, and a contract. We make home visits before and after placing our dogs and continue to provide support post adoption; our adopters will not only acquire a Corgi but also a Corgi family!

We would not be able to do this without the kind and generous support of our donors! For that we truly cannot thank you enough!!
