Places for People

A nonprofit organization

Entering its 52nd year, PfP provides innovative and effective health services to people living with the greatest and most complex mental health and substance use challenges, but the fewest resources. PfP provides comprehensive, individualized services to more than 3,000 people annually. The people we serve are in various stages of recovery from serious and persistent mental illness and substance use disorders.

In addition, many have a history of homelessness, chronic medical disorders, trauma and/or behavioral disorders. PfP's services are individualized to address treatment goals identified through collaboration between the individual and his or her treatment team. Examples include coordination of all psychiatric and medical care, assistance in obtaining and maintaining benefits, homeless outreach, housing support for people living independently in the community, support of social and recreational activities, health/wellness, and vocational/educational goals, supported employment, an array of therapy programs, outpatient substance use programs, outpatient therapy program, and services specifically for children and families. Places for People provides a human approach to health and healing.

Mission

To improve the physical and behavioral health of the individuals, families, and communities we serve and those who support the provision of these services.
