$600 Goal

"Since being at Sudbury, I have a better relationship with my parents, myself, and the people around me. I re-learned how to learn." -- Saint Louis Sudbury School student

"Sudbury trusts students to trust themselves." -- Saint Louis Sudbury School student

"Sudbury has been truly life changing for my child. Prior to starting at Sudbury, my child was stressed and anxious nearly every day before school and having meltdowns after school many days. All of that completely changed after starting at Sudbury. Now she is so well regulated, looks forward to going to school, and her confidence and ability to self advocate have transformed." -- Saint Louis Sudbury School parent

This Give STL Day, we hope to raise $600 to support our Tuition Assistance Program. Nearly 60% of Sudbury students receive tuition assistance and the school plans to provide about $50,000 in tuition assistance in the coming school year. Will you help us reach our goal with a minimum donation of just $10? Thank you for your generosity!

Your contribution helps ensure that students throughout the St. Louis region have access to a unique educational choice—one that prioritizes young people’s well being, intrinsic motivation, happiness, communication and decision making skills, and ability to adapt to a changing world.

Through Self-Directed Education (no coercive curriculum, homework, or tests), age-mixing, and a self-governing democratic community where youth and adults have equal say in how the school is run, Sudbury offers a welcoming space where students feel accepted and trusted for who they are.

Many Saint Louis Sudbury School students have been told that they don’t fit in at conventional schools, can’t be “accommodated,” have been bullied, are not able to express their gender identity, struggle with not being able to move or go outside, want to explore their interests deeply for long periods of time, are neurodiverse, and/or see life as learning in itself.

We rely on volunteers, board members, young people, and partner organizations who donate their resources, time, ideas, and leadership, to keep this unique learning community thriving and open to a diverse group of families. We are deeply grateful for your support!

"Sudbury has given me the space to find my real self." -- Saint Louis Sudbury School student
