HOW YOU CAN HELP:

During the school year, the St. Louis Area Foodbank supports programs providing nutritious and easily accessible food to more than 85,000 children residing in food-insecure households in our region. This food gives kids fuel to thrive in and outside the classroom and parents extra help as they deal with the high cost of their family’s everyday needs.

When school lets out for the summer, many of these vital child nutrition programs go on break too. For families and children facing hunger, summer can often mean up to 90 days without school-provided meals. The good news is that the St. Louis Area Foodbank has a plan to continue providing nutritious food to kids facing hunger all summer long.

You can play an important role in making this a hunger-free summer for the more than 85,000 children in Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois who are food insecure.

ABOUT US:

Founded in 1975, the St. Louis Area Foodbank is the primary food source for nearly 600 partners and programs (food pantries, soup kitchens, schools, homeless shelters, senior centers, etc.) in the bi-state region.

We honor your donation by devoting 97 percent of all resources to food distribution and programs. In fact, with every dollar, the Foodbank can provide 4 meals to neighbors in need.

Mission

Building a stronger bi-state region by nourishing people, empowering communities, and transforming systems.
