James J Slama Scholarship Foundation

The James J. Slama Scholarship Foundation exists to memorialize its namesake, Jim Slama, and the good he did in our community. A strong believer in Catholic education, he knew what sacrifice it took to commit to the tuition at these schools for his own kids. The Foundation desires to assist families in making that decision for their children by easing some of the burden of tuition. The Super Scholarship provides a $5000 scholarship to a rising freshman each year, with the possibility of renewing for each year the student remains in a Catholic high school. Through successful fundraising and the generosity of our community, we were able to add a $1500 one-time runner-up scholarship in 2020 and raise it to $2000 in 2021.
