Currently, more than 40 youth sports teams are formed to increase confidence, competence and a sense of belonging in the community. It is important for our youth to have access to structured activities beyond school hours. In order to facilitate this and emphasize positive choices, PAL pairs youth with police mentors from the communities in which they live and play.
Importantly, ALL PAL PROGRAMS ARE FREE FOR OUR YOUTH! There are no equipment or uniform costs and PAL pays for league and travel fees. We are able to provide these benefits to our youth because of generous donations from individuals and businesses in the region.
The mission of PAL is to provide a positive and constructive environment through sports and activities for our St. Louis youth to grow and develop, keep them safe, and ensure that they choose a positive path for their future. We fill playgrounds, not prisons
