Ozark Trail Association

The Ozark Trail Association (OTA) is a 501(c)3 organization that was incorporated in December of 2002 and has contributed nearly 150,000 volunteer-hours fulfilling our mission. The organization has successfully recruited volunteers and built more than 60 miles of new trail. Volunteers manage events and coordinate trail planning and development of future Ozark Trail (OT), along with promoting the Ozark Trail at outreach events and playing the leading role in the construction and maintenance of Missouri's premier long distance backcountry trail, the Ozark Trail. The OTA is a welcoming community of people from all walks of life that are passionate about conserving the great outdoors for the next generation. Through the Adopt‐A‐Trail program OTA volunteers annually maintain nearly 400 miles of trail. Ozarktrail.com provides trail information, digital maps and trip planning to thousands of trail users. The Ozark Trail provides opportunities for users to connect to the outdoors through backpacking, trail running, mountain biking, and horseback riding while benefiting from the positive impact on their health and wellness.
