Good Day Esteemed Donors

I am addressing you today as we embark on an exciting journey together. My name is Cassandra Logan Founder/Executive Director of One Silverstar. I am honored to talk to you today about how together we can take certain St. Louis city neighborhoods from a blighted urban desert to a bright urban oasis making a big impact in the lives of countless families. As we launch R.E.A.C.H. One Silverstar, Reach stands for Revitalizing Education & Arts & Affordable Housing Community Hub.

One Silverstar is working on obtaining the Club Imperial an historical landmark in the northside city neighborhood. The historical landmark was an Iconic venue back in the day, Ike & Tina Turner, Chuck Berry, and many more famous icons used to perform there.  Our vision is to revitalize the property by creating it into a center for cultural innovation in the city of Saint Louis. This property will be the hub of sustainable affordable housing, jobs, daycare, create a Tina Turner museum & Restaurant/wine bar, create studios for the youths  to record music, podcasts, tik tok videos, etc. The existing retail spaces will serve as a business incubator for small minority owned business. The location will become a food share distribution while partnering with other non for profits.

Our Commercial kitchen will offer many opportunities for community cooking classes.  The property has two ballroom spaces in which will be used for various event planning as well as a space for the youths to showcase their various art skills. Did you know that there is no bowling alley in the Northside City? There is a space for bowling at this locations , eventually we will partner with a bowling company to operate the existing bowling alley and billiards lounge. This will give youths and families a fun form of entertainment and help keep them of the streets.   Our team is unique: we are all community members doing this for the community, BY the community. But we need your help! We have secured many partners and grants but we need more seed money for this project to bloom. Together we can create a place where community spirits thrive and violence takes a nosedive. Unity is the best community by making a difference everyday.
