One Heart Family Ministries

One Heart Family Ministries has served families impacted by state foster care for over 20 years!

One Heart recruits families to care for children in foster care and walks with families through the entire process of learning about foster care, taking the required training, supporting families after foster children join their family and throughout their journey. 

• One Heart provides a faith-based state-required training in the St. Louis metropolitan areas as well as continuing education classes.
• One Heart believes in supporting the whole family along the foster care journey, One Heart actively provides post-placement support through a variety of resources and programs. Not all families are called to open their home to a child in need, but each of us can help in supporting the ones who do.  
• As of April 2025, 376 children have found a permanent loving home thru adoption in a One Heart family. Additionally, One Heart has assisted in training 557 families to be Missouri state licensed foster care providers.
• One Heart operates a Foster closet that provides resources to children & families impacted by foster care. Resources are free to families with documentation.
