Mosaics Fine Art Festival

A nonprofit organization

The Art Festival Association (dba Mosaics Fine Art Festival) was established in 1992. The goal is to bring a festival that is free of charge, educational, accessible, open and welcoming to all citizens and visitors to the Saint Charles Community as well as the opportunity to interact directly with our artists. We present a professional exhibition to showcase the artists while also stimulating and educating the community. The festival has an interesting diversity of artwork produced by a mix of emerging, mid-career and established artists in all media. The people of Saint Charles and the surrounding region receive outstanding exposure to contemporary art and concepts; and the artists receive numerous opportunities to have their work seen.

The Festival brings the community together to celebrate and show case the arts and the artists. The Festival includes innovative and challenging work by contemporary artists who each year bring original and diverse work in all media. To the community, our program offers cultural advantages for families to live, learn, and play, through the Children's Village area and the Art for Youth Gallery.

Festival Details:

The Festival takes place the 3rd weekend in September and this year that is September 15-17, 2023. The festival is located on five blocks of Historic North Main Street starting at First Capital. We have finalized the application process for 2023 as well as the jury process. We've invited the artists that were selected through the jury and are now waiting for all artists to confirm. Our preparation and arrangements are already started and we will continue to coordinate with the City, vendors and artists up to festival time. We use a list of tasks to complete all that has been developed over the 28 years the festival has been held. Actual commitments for license, rentals, vendors, entertainment, volunteers and so forth are completed between June and September after the number of artists participating this year are determined. Our Board meets monthly throughout the year and as necessary closer to festival time. The Board members are experienced and dedicated to conducting a successful festival. We have Committee Chairs for all aspects of the operation including Facilities, Entertainment, Program, Applications, Jury Process, Volunteers, Registration and our Officers.
Our track record for presenting a quality fine arts festival is well known and respected throughout the St. Charles and St. Louis metro area

The City of Saint Charles has been a supporter of the Festival for 28 years and we enjoy a positive relationship with the City and businesses on North Main Street. In addition, the Festival Board works with the Foundry Arts Center, Blank Canvas Studios, Preferred Family Healthcare's A.R.T.C. Program (Achieving Recovery Through Creativity) and Schools in the area to come together for the Fine Art Festival. We continue to be the Premiere Fine Arts Festival in Saint Charles County.

The Mosaics Fine Art Festival Association was established to create and foster diversity and vitality of the arts and to broaden the availability, education, participation, and appreciation of the arts throughout the community. The Mosaics Art Festival is unique in its approach to educating children and adults in how art can enhance their lives.
