KEEN St. Louis

KEEN is guided by our core principles of accepting every child, regardless of the nature or severity of their disability, providing all programs entirely free of charge, and meeting the needs of the individual athlete, allowing everyone to find success and joy.

With local financial support and grass-roots volunteer commitment, St. Louis children with all levels and severity of disabilities can benefit from KEEN St. Louis' unique approach to play and sports. KEEN Sports provides a weekend afternoon of fun for children ages 5-21. KEEN athletes and KEEN volunteer coaches are paired up one-to-one for individual and group activities, such as shooting a basketball, kicking a soccer ball, riding a bike or walking around a track. Many KEEN athletes love to bounce on the giant physio balls or to be pulled along the gym floor on a scooter. KEEN Sports sessions are a great way to provide athletic and physical opportunities to kids who are often excluded in traditional settings. KEEN Swims is another program that allows athletes and their coaches to engage in a fun, physical activity loved by all kids. Among many large, inflatable pool toys, KEEN athletes of all ages and their volunteer coaches have a blast in the pool, building self-esteem and confidence while gaining important physical activity.
