A Place to Belong

Independence Center provides innovative programs that help 1,485 adults with serious mental illness live, work, and thrive in our community each year. Since 1981, we have built a welcoming, supportive environment where every member is valued, connected, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Our Clubhouse is at the heart of this community, providing a space where members know they always have somewhere to turn for support, purpose, and meaningful connection.

Through the Clubhouse, we offer education and employment support, housing, health and wellness services, and social opportunities that affirm dignity, purpose, and belonging. Every program is designed to help members feel needed, wanted, and expected, because a strong community can transform lives.

"Clubhouse restores hope, dignity, and purpose." -Clubhouse Member
