The Mission: Protecting Health and Dignity at the Table

At Catholic Urban Programs, we believe that human dignity begins with a healthy meal. Currently, 76% of the families visiting HUB Foods are at high risk for diabetes and hypertension. As food costs rise, fresh produce—the very "medicine" our neighbors need—is the first thing cut from their grocery lists.

This Give STL Day, our goal is $10,000 to bridge the "Produce Gap." Through our Farmers Market partnerships, your gift ensures that fresh, life-sustaining fruits and vegetables stay on the tables of East St. Louis families. From a $15 gift that provides a week of produce to a $390 gift that feeds a family of four for a month, you are doing more than providing food—you are providing health, hope, and the foundation for self-sufficiency.
