Foster Together

What began as a small passion project led by five local families has grown into a movement of hope for children impacted by foster care throughout the St. Louis area.

When children enter foster care, they often arrive with nothing but the clothes they are wearing. Like many people, you may care deeply about these children — but aren’t always sure how to help. Foster Together bridges that gap, connecting compassionate community members like you with children who need immediate support.

Since March 2018, Foster Together has served more than 6,000 children across the St. Louis region through programs designed to meet urgent, real-life needs:

• Free Boutique Shopping – Children and teens shop for clothing and essentials at our welcoming boutique in Arnold, MO. For families who have just received a new placement, we also offer free delivery.

• Safe Seats – Provides free, brand-new car seats so children can travel safely from day one.

• Safe Slumber – Gives free new beds and bedding, ensuring every child has a safe and comfortable place to sleep.

• Together At Home – Offers practical support to families at risk of entering foster care, as well as families working toward reunification, helping keep children safe and strengthen families.

• Friends in Fostering – A mentorship program that pairs experienced foster parents with those just beginning their journey, building confidence and community.

• Educational Classes – Classes for foster parents to obtain educational credits for licensing, as well as a class for people interested in learning how to become foster parents for the first time.  

We strive to meet every need, every step of the way — so children entering foster care feel seen, valued, and respected.
