FirstLight is a St. Louis-based ministry that is dedicated to seeing people set free from the effects of compulsive sexual behavior - living lives of peace, spiritually and emotionally. A person impacted by FirstLight has a profound awareness of God’s endless mercy and is set free to pour out Jesus’ loving gentleness, compassion and vulnerability on spouses, children, friends, and church family.
We serve both men and women who struggle with compulsive or unwanted sexual behaviors and their families through support groups, individual counseling, and one-on-one discipleship.
The mission of FirstLight is to help those trapped by the effects of compulsive sexual sin to see their sexuality in light of God’s word and recognize that through Jesus Christ, there is hope and healing for anyone caught in patterns of sexual sin.
Our purpose is to help followers of Jesus Christ, particularly those who have struggled deeply in their sexuality, to glorify God with their body by living out the orthodox understanding of Christian sexual ethics grounded in the Bible.
