Community Radio St. Louis (CRSTL) is dedicated to building community and supporting culture through the power of independent music, ideas, and information. We believe in free-form programming that transcends the mainstream, informs the public, and expands the experiences of our international audience.
CRSTL emerged out of the collapse and bankruptcy in 2025 of KDHX, the long-running community radio station in St. Louis. Many of the volunteers who built and programmed KDHX have now joined together to start a new community radio station.
CRSTL is owned and operated by the League of Volunteer Enthusiasts (LOVE) of Community Radio STL, a 501c3 nonprofit organization registered in the state of Missouri.
Powered by over 70 volunteer hosts, programmers, and DJs, we stream live at CRSTL.FM from the Lindenwood Park Place Social Club in the City of St. Louis.
While we currently broadcast 24/7 on the internet, our ultimate goal is to return to the FM dial to serve the whole community!
Why should you support CRSTL?
- A great city like St. Louis deserves a great community radio station. And together we can achieve that goal!
- A volunteer-driven, free-form radio station, where unique music and unique perspectives are shared with the community, should be free of commercial and corporate influence. Your support will make that possible!
- A new FM community radio station will require significant resources. The FCC license, transmitter, tower, facilities, and equipment will be expensive. Your donation will allow us to make the investments needed to build this community radio station.
- We are an all volunteer organization! All donations to CRSTL go directly to sustaining our operations and to building a new community radio station.
- But most of all: You love music and believe in community broadcasting. Like us, you want to see community radio restored to the incredible resource of music and information it once was -- and will be again!
