Create a Loop was created to address the gap in coding and technology instruction seen in students north and south of the Delmar Loop. Our organization was created with the belief that high-quality, challenging, and practical instruction in the field of computer science can give students the tools to break through generational poverty and remove invisible barriers that affect their ability to learn and access computer science education. We provide students with scholarships, curriculum, technology, and exciting activities to keep them engaged and challenged.

To achieve those goals, Create a Loop brings instructors, curriculum, and equipment to qualifying St. Louis schools, teaching classes from basic computer literacy to programming with JavaScript and beyond.

Mission

Create a Loop is a non-profit dedicated to bringing rigorous and ambitious computer science instruction to students in the Saint Louis Metropolitan area, including students from low income backgrounds, who have little to no access or are otherwise underrepresented in the field of computer science. Create a Loop aims to disrupt the generational poverty cycle by equipping students with advanced computer programming skills and opening avenues to rewarding careers with meaningful salaries.
