$2,000 Goal

Currently, more than 5.7 million people in the US are affected by brain injuries, from concussions to more severe and devastating injuries. Our members suffered their accidents, strokes, or aneurisms as their adult lives were just beginning. They were struck down while in school, as a teen, or just starting their careers. Our members are tenacious and determined to regain as much of their pre-injury lives as possible. Even years after their accident, our members may still be working to regain physical or cognitive functions to have a life of independence and purpose. Our goal is to support each other emotionally in this goal; while Brain Buddies supports these goals financially including education, volunteering, and community involvement. In the future, the financial support will include assistance with school, vocational training and medical therapies.

Giving Activity

Mission

Brain Buddies serves young adults working hard to rebuild their lives and livelihoods after devastating brain injuries. Brain Buddies supports individuals in their endeavors to reconnect with society, drive, return to school or work, and live independently. This is done by providing safe and inclusive social interactions, and speaking about life after a brain injury. All this provides the confidence necessary to re-enter community with our challenges. As we grow, Brain Buddies hopes to provide aid for return to school or training, and medical therapies.
