$8,000 Goal

Where healing happens at both ends of the lead rope

Some arrive carrying what they’ve been through—
what their bodies still hold, what hasn’t yet found words.

And they meet a mustang who knows something about that, too.

This Give STL Day, we’re working toward a goal of $8,000 to sponsor our next Valor & Voice cohort—while supporting the herd and the healing that happens here every day.

Valor & Voice brings veterans, first responders, their families, and mustangs together—humans and horses with their own stories—creating space for healing, connection, and trust. Through this work, mustangs also gain the skills and confidence they need to move into adoptive homes.

At Zenhorse®, we partner humans with formerly wild mustangs to support emotional healing, resilience, and nervous system regulation—through relationship, presence, and authentic connection.

Because here, healing doesn’t happen to one or the other.

It happens on both ends of the lead rope.

🐎 A different kind of partnership

Our work is entirely groundwork-based—no riding, no performance.

The horses are not tools.
People are not projects.

We work in relationship.

The mustangs we partner with are active participants in every session. Their boundaries, responses, and expressions are honored—not managed or overridden.

This creates something rare:

honest, immediate feedback that supports real awareness and lasting change.

🌿 More than talk

Healing doesn’t happen only through words.

At Zenhorse®, we incorporate body awareness, nervous system regulation, and experiential learning in a grounded, accessible way.

Participants often leave with:

  • greater self-awareness
  • improved emotional regulation
  • and a felt sense of connection that stays with them long after they leave the ranch

🐎 The mustangs

We work with horses born in the wild.

They bring a level of presence and authenticity that cannot be manufactured.

They are not only part of the healing process—
they are also on their own journey.

Through this work, mustangs:

  • build trust
  • develop skills
  • and prepare for adoption into safe, loving homes

And in the process, they help humans do the same.

❤️ Why your support matters

This Give STL Day, we’re working toward a goal of $8,000 to bring our next Valor & Voice cohort to life—while continuing to care for the herd and expand access to this work.

When you give to Zenhorse®, you are helping to:

  • Provide trauma-informed, relationship-based healing experiences
  • Support mustangs as they transition from survival to connection
  • Expand access to programs for veterans, women in recovery, and others navigating trauma and life transitions
  • Sustain a peaceful, intentional space for both human and equine well-being

💚 Be part of the healing

This is not just equine-assisted work.

This is healing in relationship.

Help us reach our $8,000 goal and continue this work—
for the horses, and for the people they help heal.
