Wellston Loop Community Development Corporation

The Wellston Loop Community Development Corporation (WLCDC), serves the Wells-Goodfellow, Hamilton Heights, and Wellston neighborhoods. It was founded in 2001 when residents and local businesses recognized the need to revitalize a community long neglected and exploited by corporate and government interests. 

We are dedicated to healing and transforming the West St. Louis community through wellness activities, resource sharing, community building. Using peer supported meetings and referrals, we address systemic challenges with compassion and culturally responsive solutions. Our work is rooted in collaboration, ensuring sustainable change is driven by the community’s needs while prioritizing the empowerment and leadership of its residents.
