Founded in the summer of 1940 by Dr. Kenneth Brown Billups, The Legend Singers Choral Ensemble continues to preserve the African American spiritual - a National Treasure - and the choral performance traditions of African American choral music in accordance with its Mission. On Give STL Day - May 7, 2026 - we invite you to join us in preserving this beloved genre of choral music, and support scholars seeking post-secondary music education.

🎶 $100 Director's music stand and portable rechargeable lighting for the Director and Accompanist or student books or fees
🎤 $250 Wireless microphones and portable microphone stands, speakers and speaker stands or housing assistance for post-secondary students
🎹 $500+ An 8-channel sound system or tuition/housing assistance for a post-secondary student
