About Us
The Ferguson Community Empowerment Center (FCEC) is a beacon of hope and opportunity in North County, St. Louis. Operated by The Salvation Army, the FCEC is dedicated to uplifting families and youth through accessible, empowering, and culturally responsive programming. We serve as a hub for transformation, providing resources that address critical needs while fostering community resilience, healing, and growth.
At the heart of our youth programming is Spark Academy—a vibrant, no-cost after-school and summer enrichment program designed to help 3rd–6th grade students in North County discover their "spark." Whether it’s a hidden talent, a new passion, or a future career interest, Spark Academy helps children ignite their potential through mentorship, academic support, creative expression, and hands-on experiences. Since its inception, Spark has served over 300 students and continues to create safe, engaging spaces where youth thrive.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking support for transportation needs—both for our after-school programming and for field trips during the summer. Your donation will help us secure reliable vans or a small bus, ensuring that transportation is never a barrier to opportunity, connection, or adventure for our kids.
