TASK

A nonprofit organization

TASK gives children and adults with disabilities a safe place where they can play, socialize and build self-esteem. We believe that when our participants walk through the door, they should be able to shake off the stigmas surrounding their disabilities and just be their wonderfully unique selves.

Whether it be playing sports, working up a sweat in fitness classes, acting out a scene in drama, learning valuable life skills in our day program or having a blast during social events, our participants are always smiling, laughing and learning. We typically offer 24 different sports and fitness programs throughout the year, drama, fitness, art, and social clubs that meet every month and our Next Steps program gives participants a safe and uplifting place to play, work and learn once they're done with school.

Right now TASK is working to safely provide in person programming as well as online opportunities so we can continue to meet all of our participants needs despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mission

The mission of Team Activities for Special Kids, or TASK, is to enrich the lives of children and adults with special needs by providing athletic and social opportunities. We believe every individual should have a positive self-esteem, and strive in all of our programs to build this self-esteem by building our participants' self-confidence through helping them achieve success.
