Support Lunch is a St. Louis–based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to eliminating school lunch debt and ensuring every child has access to a meal at school. We believe that no student should experience hunger, embarrassment, or exclusion because of an unpaid lunch balance.
Founded in 2024, Support Lunch was created after our founder was moved by a story about a child being publicly shamed for unpaid lunch debt. Determined to make a difference, he brought together educators, parents, and community members to take action and help remove this barrier for students and families.
Through partnerships with schools and the generosity of community donors, Support Lunch works to pay down student lunch balances so children can focus on learning, growing, and participating fully in school life. Because the organization is volunteer-led with no paid staff, 100% of donations go directly toward eliminating school lunch debt.
