Harmony STL is a vibrant chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, built on a foundation of over 60 years of musical tradition. Our story began with the Ambassadors of Harmony, a men's chorus dedicated to the captivating art form of barbershop singing.
Over time, our passion for harmony grew. We welcomed the Recruits, an all-voices youth ensemble, to our chapter, nurturing a love of singing in the next generation. In 2022, we were thrilled to establish a vibrant new women's chorus, the Visions of Harmony, further enriching our musical family.
This dedication to inclusivity led us to a fundamental shift. We wanted a name that reflected the welcoming spirit of our chapter and our broader mission of sharing the joy of harmony with everyone. Thus, Harmony STL was born!
Today, Harmony STL is more than just singing groups; we're a community of passionate singers, friends, and family. We believe in the power of barbershop to unite people across backgrounds and create a sense of belonging. We strive to share this unique American art form with our community, fostering a love of singing and harmony that resonates for generations to come.
Our mission is to educate our membership in order to continually improve in vocal quality, performance and personal fulfillment in a cappella singing. When we perform, our goal is to give a gift that will change the lives of the people in our audience.
