Sisters In Service: Finding Purpose, Together

What happens after the uniform comes off?

For many women veterans, the next chapter can feel isolating. The structure, identity, and built-in community of military life suddenly disappear—and what replaces it isn’t always clear.

Sisters In Service (SIS) exists so no woman has to navigate that transition alone.

We bring together women veterans and women who serve who are searching for community, connection, wellness, and purpose. Because too often, they feel like they’re doing it all on their own.

Why This Matters

Many women veterans struggle with:

  • Isolation after leaving service
  • Loss of identity and uncertainty about their next chapter
  • Feeling unseen due to outdated perceptions of what a “veteran” looks like
  • A lack of spaces designed specifically for them

Some don’t even acknowledge their service—because they don’t feel like they belong.

We’re changing that.

What We Do

SIS creates spaces where women can reconnect—with themselves and each other.

Through:

  • Community events that foster real connection
  • Collaborations with veteran-owned and local businesses
  • Retreats that build sisterhood and healing
  • And our signature program, Pivot With Purpose

Our Pivot With Purpose Cohort helps women veterans:

  • Strengthen financial wellness
  • Build career and leadership pathways
  • Rediscover their identity and purpose
  • Step into who they were always meant to be

Because after serving others, it’s time to invest in themselves.

A Story of Impact

One SIS member came to us searching for community.

Like many, she felt disconnected—navigating life as a stay-at-home mom after a high-level military career. The shift was overwhelming, and she struggled to rediscover who she was outside of service.

Through SIS, she found more than connection—she found purpose.

She stepped into leadership, helped build the very community she had been searching for, and with the support around her, launched her own business.

This is the power of SIS.

Why We Need You

Your support for STL Give Day will help us:

  • Expand our Pivot With Purpose Cohort this fall
  • Grow SIS into new communities and chapters
  • Continue creating spaces where women veterans feel seen, supported, and empowered

Be Part of the Mission

SIS is there through all phases of life—from transition to transformation.

When you give, you’re not just donating.

You’re helping a woman:

  • Find her people
  • Reclaim her identity
  • Step into her purpose

You’re helping her come home—to herself.

Join us in building a community where no woman has to do this alone.
