Our goal is to change our largest foam climber into a set of large foam blocks we can use to create a different world every time we host families! This transition to a slimmed down version of Simple Positive Play will allow us to highlight different themes and skills for young people that include problem solving, early literacy, gross motor and fine motor skills.
Since 2016, Simple Positive Play has been able to use an under-utilized building at January-Wabash Park in Ferguson, Missouri to host community playdates at no cost to families. This summer, the City of Ferguson has decided to transform the space into a multi-purpose room in order to provide a space for a variety of events and meetings. As a result, many of our larger structures need to be swapped out for more mobile play resources.
We remove the barrier of affordability by offering our services at no cost. Playful experiences help develop positive social and emotional skills and establishes opportunities to hone problem solving and critical thinking skills. All of this supports Simple Positive Play's mission to promote an engaged and informed community.
