About Scribe Publishing Inc.

Scribe Publishing Inc. is a trauma‑informed literary nonprofit that empowers youth in protective services to transform lived experience into authorship, voice, and opportunity. Each year, thousands of young people age out of foster care and other protective systems without safe avenues to process trauma, advocate for themselves, or articulate goals for their futures—placing them at heightened risk of homelessness, unemployment, justice involvement, and unmet mental health needs.

Scribe Publishing Inc. addresses this gap through structured, preventative storytelling programs rooted in journaling, creative expression, and guided publishing. Participants are supported to process their experiences through writing, develop original manuscripts with professional mentorship, and reclaim authorship over their own narratives. By investing in expressive intervention at a critical transition point, Scribe Publishing Inc. helps youth build resilience, confidence, and transferable life skills—while ensuring their voices are not only heard, but valued.

Our work equips young people with tools for healing, self‑determination, and long‑term stability, advancing equitable outcomes for a population too often overlooked by traditional funding models.

This is Foster Care Month, help us launch Scribe Publishing Inc's inaugural Ink and Insights event on August 8, 2026.

Scribe Publishing Inc. is a new publishing initiative committed to uplifting the voices of children and young adults impacted by foster care—especially those aging out of protective services without consistent support systems.

Too many youth leave care without opportunities to tell their stories, build confidence, or access creative and educational resources. Scribe Publishing Inc. will bridge that gap by providing mentorship, publishing support, and pathways for self‑expression and healing through storytelling.

Your Give STL Day donation helps us:

  • Develop and launch programs to support children and youth transitioning out of foster care
  • Create safe, empowering opportunities for their voices to be heard
  • Launch Scribe Publishing Inc Inaugural Ink and Insights event on August 8, 2026

Together, we can help young people move from surviving to being seen, heard, and supported.

Give today. Launch Scribe Publishing Inc. Lift up voices that deserve to be heard.

Sincerely,

Dr. Shelitha "Lisa" Peppers | Founder and CEO | Former Foster Care Youth
