As we begin the last two weeks of legislative session, we are reminded of the power that has been built over the years and the role you’ve played in making that possible. You might not be aware, but PROMO turns 40 this year. That's four decades of organizing, mobilizing, and fighting for LGBTQ+ rights in Missouri. Your support — as a donor, as a volunteer, as a community member — has allowed PROMO to be there consistently.
We've told you before about our current work: deep canvasing across the state to knock 100,000 doors before November, implementing narrative change strategies that uplift the voices of trans Missourians, and combating the misinformation around who we are as people. We are continuing to invest in these strategies that we know shift hearts, minds, and systems so we can build a Missouri that we deserve.
This work and our movement has always moved forward because of people who choose to show up. It's people who choose to meet the moment and refuse to back down over and over.
