Operation Shower® is a St. Louis-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that delivers life-changing group baby showers to military moms-to-be whose spouses or partners are deployed or who are active duty themselves, to ease the financial and mental health stresses of deployment and separation.
Few experiences highlight the sacrifice of military spouses more than navigating pregnancy during deployment or while on active duty. Since 2007, Operation Shower has showered nearly 10,000 military moms-to-be and their families from St. Louis and across the U.S. with love, gratitude and support during exquisitely designed group baby showers that not only provide the moms with an abundance of gifts and necessities, but also the priceless opportunity to build community with other expectant military women who truly understand their unique struggles. Yesterday, we reached a milestone of 250 showers!
