In support of our Give STL Day goal, board member Allison W. Roberts has generously issued a challenge grant of $10,000, which your donation can help us unlock. Your gift today, at any amount, can make a major impact.

Why 98 donors?

There have been 98 composers whose work has been presented on the OTSL stage and we're asking you to help us celebrate!

Bonus Answer: Opera theatre is celebrating 49 years of presenting new and classic works and we're asking you to help us reach another 49! (49 + 49 = 98)

Opera Theatre of Saint Louis (OTSL) is known for its local impact, national presence, and global resonance.

Every year, we produce a spring festival season of inventive new productions. Every production is sung in English and accompanied by the Grammy Award-winning St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Performances take place in the intimate Loretto-Hilton Center at Webster University. Before and after the shows, audiences gather in lush gardens for picnics and cocktails.

Opera Theatre has a long tradition of discovering the finest young singers, creating flagship programs that nuture the next generation, and promoting the work of living American librettists and composers. As of the 2023 Festival Season, Opera Theatre has presented 37 world premieres. Over the past 30 years, The Bayer Fund Artists-in-Training Program has brought college-level vocal training to more than 270 high school students. The Gerdine Young Artist Program offers emerging artists invaluable performance experience as they begin their professional careers. And in 2021, the Clayco Future Leaders Fellowship was launched to support and cultivate BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Color) future arts leaders and administrators.

Your gift to Opera Theatre of Saint Louis directly supports our artists and impacts the community in St. Louis and beyond. Our mission is about changing the future of opera — and it’s our generous community of supporters who make it all possible.

Mission
