The St. Louis Chapter is a dynamic and growing professional non-profit organization dedicated to fostering economic growth, enhancing business skills, and expanding employment opportunities for African Americans and other minorities. Through collaborations with local organizations, universities, and nonprofit partners, the chapter delivers impactful programs that empower individuals and strengthen communities.
At the core of its mission are five key pillars: Career, Leadership Entrepreneurship, Education and Lifestyle. These pillars guide the organization’s innovative programming and initiatives.
A flagship program of the chapter is the Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) mentoring program, designed for high school students in grades 9-12. This program prepares young scholars to become the next generation of leaders by providing mentorship in four critical areas: Leadership, Financial Literacy, College Preparation, Career Preparation and Life Skills. Participants benefit from mentorship, scholarship opportunities, and preparation for collegiate-level case competitions.
For the past 16 years, LOT students have competed in the National Business Case Competition, a rigorous challenge that hones their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Teams work collaboratively to analyze and present solutions for a complex business case before a panel of corporate judges.
The St. Louis Chapter has consistently excelled in this competition. In 2014, the team claimed the top prize, and in recent years, they have continued their success—earning 2nd place in both 2023 and 2024, securing $10,000 in scholarships each year. Their outstanding performance in past competitions resulted in a total of $15,000 in scholarships and grand prize trophies for participants.
This June, the LOT team will compete virtually, tackling a Harvard Business Case on Procter & Gamble. With their sights set on the championship, the team is determined to bring home another victory!
