Since 2017, Miracle of Innocence (MOI) has worked to free wrongfully convicted men and women in Kansas and Missouri. 

In 2025, MOI partnered with a New York law firm to support and broaden its reach, covering all 50 states. Please share our inmate brochure with the inmate. Our Research Team is standing ready to review actual innocence cases to free the wrongly convicted.

Through fundraising, we help cover legal costs for retrials and appeals for cases that have claims of factual innocence. MOI also provides returning exonerees with mental health support, housing rehabilitation, employment referrals, financial literacy, life skills training, and mentorship. Founded by Darryl Burton and Lamonte McIntyre, who together lost 47 years to wrongful imprisonment. Click to learn what we do.
