Magdala House serves adults experiencing homelessness and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the St. Louis community.
Our work is grounded in a simple belief: every person deserves to live with dignity.
Each day, we walk alongside individuals as they rebuild stability, gain independence, and find their place in the community. Through a continuum of care from emergency shelter to transitional and permanent housing, along with our Adult Day Care and Independent Supported Living (ISLs) programs, we provide the support, structure, and resources needed to move forward.
For someone experiencing homelessness, that journey often begins with a safe place to sleep. From there, individuals move step by step toward stability, gaining access to housing, support services, and resources like counseling, rehabilitation, and job readiness that help them rebuild and move forward with confidence.
For individuals in our Adult Day Care and ISL programs, support is personalized and intentional. Each person receives individualized support while remaining actively engaged in their community. Through structured programming and daily support, individuals build life skills, make choices, and grow in environments that foster independence, confidence, and meaningful connection.
But what we provide goes beyond services.
We create spaces where people feel seen. Where they are supported. Where they can begin to take pride in their lives again.
We have seen individuals move from uncertainty to stability, from isolation to connection, and from surviving to building something more.
That is the impact of Magdala House.
